Jennifer and Jonathan met in the summer of 2009 at one of Jonathan's softball games after they were introduced by Jennifer's cousin. They were engaged on January 16, 2016. Jennifer said that she and Jonathan like the numbers 11 and 16; his favorite number is 16 and hers is 11, which is one reason why they chose November to get married.
Jonathan proposed at Jennifer's dad's graveside, which to some may seem like an unusual place for a proposal. But Jennifer says her story is different--she lost her dad on November 26th 2013 to a massive heart attack. Jennifer explains, "I was a big daddy's girl, especially since I have three little brothers and was the only girl. I had always dreamed of my wedding and my dad being there to walk me down the aisle and the day he died I remember thinking that I'll never get that special moment with my dad. So of course JB (Jonathan) knowing that my dad being involved and approving of things was a big deal, he decided to purpose to me when we were visiting my dad's graveside so that my dad could be there in a way and approve."
Jennifer's dress and the groom's and groomsmen's tuxedos came from Traditions Bridal and Formal in Texarkana, Texas.
The flowers and delicious cakes were made by Albertson's on Richmond Road in Texarkana.
Jennifer said they chose Twin Creeks because they knew it would be perfect in the fall with all of the beautiful colors!
